For the Viennese the "Alte Donau" signifies
rest, relaxation and leisure in the close-to-nature waters -for
bathing, swimming and boating, walking or having a meal and in
winter even ice-skating.
100 years ago the "Alte Donau", the former main arm
of the River Danube, was located at the edge of the city. When
the Viennese discovered the pleasures of bathing around the Alte
Donau, the Partik family opened their refreshment establishment.
As the years went by, the city grew far beyond the area of the
"Alte Donau" and the family business evolved from the
Partik restaurant into the beach hotel Alte Donau.
The hotelier family is always pleased both to welcome again their
regular guests and also the many business travellers and UN-employees.
